But what is the demand here ? That the growing American police state shut down the Catholic Church ? I am amused by " socialist " support for extravagant law suits . Why should ordinary Catholics - who have supported the church financially for years -be punished for the negligence of bishops , cardinals , and popes ? Put church property on the stock market ? Socialists should have a very cynical attitude toward lawyers and THE LAW and the venal capitalist press, and easily misled Grand Juries. Also, true socialists are not interested in making instant millionaires of ANY victims. That is not EQUALITY in practice.
