Radical Ron reflects on homeless incompetents -- TAKES SMART PHONE PHOTO

Homeless man with morbid obesity on RIPTA 21 bus

Trying not be insensitive or plain rude I felt that I had to take a digital photo of this homeless obese  middle aged man having trouble getting seated on the RIPTA 21 bus shortly after 9:00 AM this morning, March 1 . He got on with that overloaded walker right near Harrington Hall , the Cranston homeless shelter - now notorious for sheltering " too many " child sex abuse offenders.

Of course , this guy could hardly get within talking distance of a kid . While he was struggling to get into his seat  I got a less than aesthetic view of half his ass. I did not capture that with my digital, smart phone camera  ( too late for the Candid Camera shot  ). The bus driver ordered him to fold up his medical walker " rollator " . In that familiar , beaten down " under-class " tone of voice , the poor man mumbled that this was quite impossible. What a sad , pathetic confused mass of HUMANITY  !

A significant percent of human society - for whatever reason- is just plain INCOMPETENT .  Rather than honor them by never calling them " retarded " we should make sure they do not live un-assisted, un-supervised , without AUTHORITY .   With this mountain of  corpulence in the way I exited the bus from the back door.

Approaching Dunkin Donuts across from the Cranston Public Library I encountered another ragged  homeless " lost soul " - looking too mentally befogged even to explain HIS problem.

You can't call these people BUMS and tell them to get a job . They are helpless as stray dogs - for whom we have so much more sympathy and tender feelings.

Perhaps only saints can look on them with hearts softened by  pure kindness . America desperately needs a Mother Teresa .
