Are not these poor people what the Bernie Sanders " political revolution " should have been all about - not " saving the middle class " ? Focusing on unacceptable economic inequality seems more " progressive " than Hillary Clinton's vacuous " identity politics ".
I just borrowed David Shipler's " Working Poor" from the Cranston Public Library , was appalled by the chapter titled " Money and Its Opposite " . So I did this on line search for book reviews .
Which presidential candidates speak for the " angry American working class ? Sad to note that Shipler's book was published 12 years ago. We need an update.
