What needs to be studied is the frail nature of the nuclear family in a cruelly indifferent -so isolating- capitalist society.
It is wrong for a family's survival to depend in a too precarious way on the economic " success " of the father or of the father and the mother.
Is a collection of atomized families a healthy " community " ? The pressure and the stress on parents is a force for madness.They must pretend that all is well- to " save face ".
This tragedy could not happen in a sane society.

- Individuals who see themselves as " privileged " are often insanely defensive of the rotten capitalist social order. They prefer not to think about it.
