Brief comment on a university's recognition of trans-gender " identity "
There
is a difference between the demands of politeness and the demands of
scientific observation. DNA says you are MALE or FEMALE. The rest is
fatuous " and pernicious " identity politics ".

allowing students and workers to use nicknames on some campus records,
including student identification cards and emails, in an effort to
better allow them to express their identities. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Clarion
University says it's the first of the state's 14 state-owned
universities to implement such a policy. It became effective this fall.]
Identity politics now insists that a street named after Charles Darwin
in an African town should have its named changed. Why ? Because Darwin
was a racist. .Imagine any university approving this nonsense?
Respecting NAMES is just respecting human history - good and bad.
