I just finished reading Hawthorne's "Edward Fane's Rosebud". I read it twice. (you really have to read it twice!). The work was pure genius. What a rich story! Hawthorne had to have been a "very good listener" to have such deep insights into human nature. Thanks for the recommendation! His prose is so finely crafted that I felt it was taking a few bites out of me! I'm looking forward to reading the other Hawthorne story that you mentioned. Talk soon, –Steve
