I feel hopeless and detached. No connection with other people at all. Nothing to look forward to anymore. I'm so sorry you feel you have nothing to live for and you feel hopeless and attached. Feeling hopeless and detach is not an easy place to be. Is there something that you can point to that has made you feel this way? Losing a job, a death in the family, a personal trauma, etc.? I would recommend that you talk to a counselor or someone that you trust. I don't know how old you are, but my first thought is are you highly connected to digital devices? If this is the case this may be a reason why you feel hopeless and detached.. Your connection is coming from your digital devices. Society now is so focused on everything digital. Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and all the other digital platforms. Everyone spends hours on all these platforms. Personally, I am not on any of these platforms. One of the things that allows me to stay engaged, is to stay away from the news. There's too much negative in the world. I always give myself no more than 30 minutes of digital time. Then I disengage. I am more than happy to engage with my service dog, having a disability. I always get out there and walk with my service dog. We walk 2 1/2 miles a day. We absolutely love it. Are there hobbies you enjoy? For me I enjoy reading, writing, and needle art. I also enjoy getting together with friends. You could find a hobby you enjoy such as basketball, volleyball, going to the gym. You could then develop a connection with someone there and therefore slowly develop a friendship. Ask this person out to coffee and see what your mutual interests are. Take it from there. Once again, I would try talking with a counselor, engaging with hobbies that you enjoy such as mentioned above. Life is important. I want to see you succeed. Stay moving forward and focused even day by day. Life is a gift.] 101 views View 3 upvotes Submission accepted by Jules 1 of 2 answers
