SCIENCE and its army of professional scientists serve not primarily TRUTH but their employers, the capitalist ruling class ( which also owns THE STATE ) . The New Atheist Cult road show will no doubt succeed in converting an insignificant minority of petty bourgeois intellectuals to the CAUSE ( with themselves as clearly shills for both IRRATIONAL and MURDEROUS global capitalism, American imperialism , and Israeli Zionism ) . And their rabid God Hatred is not that well respected in most schools of traditional philosophy. They might even have something to learn from the ancient doctors of the Catholic Church, Saint Augustine and Thomas Aquinas . They might learn something about LOVE from the New Testament . They might apply REASON to the evil of capitalist exploitation and oppression . Imagine " OUR democracy " as fulfilling the New Atheist dream : becoming " officially atheist " like the dreary nightmare tyranny of the old Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin ? Presently the WOKE WARRIOR Left ( weirdly attached to the Democratic Party USA ) has shown nothing but contempt for the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization.
