Inspired from youth by Albert Camus' sense of the Absurd, I try to be a voice for REASON in the growing darkness and moral insanity of global capitalism .

The Weak Nuclear Interaction: The Most Astonishing “Force” in the Universe [ SCIENCE can avoid corruption by not identifying itself with reactionary capitalist ruling classes ]
Classic atheism expressed in the great poem of the the Roman writer Lucretius itself has a serious , now easily recognizable, flaw in making matter in motion - individuals atoms - eternal. Even from the viewpoint of modern astrophysics , or the Church of the Big Bang , there is nothing ETERNAL about matter in motion. With exception of hydrogen and helium atoms most of the nearly infinite atoms in existence EVOLVED in logical order in extremely hot Super-Nova solar furnaces. And science has learned that those curious QUARKS, that reside in the proton -neutron nucleus, themselves came into existence not from a previous form of MATTER in motion but from some form of abstract ENERGY that cannot even be named. So why should a clear thinking philosopher not see the GREAT WHATEVER at the beginning of the universe as the LIFE FORCE WORK OF GOD ?
A popular book by New Atheist, Lawrence Kraus , is titled " A Universe From Nothing " . Does this literal NIHILISM rise superior even to the GENESIS of the Old Testament ? Or even to the first page of the Old Catholic , pre-Vatican II Baltimore Catechism ?
My own conclusion is that SCIENCE should stick to SCIENCE and avoid METAPHYSICS where REVELATION makes a stronger case. And SCIENCE as a human institution can avoid corruption by not identifying itself with reactionary capitalist ruling classes. THEY see themselves as part of the ETERNAL social order on the Good Earth. And in a universe where CHANGE is the great rule.
