More than any religion the cruel and highly irrational capitalist system daily ruins -and creates lifelong trauma - in the now super-exploited and oppressed working class and lower middle class. Nothing is more traumatizing and hazardous to your mental and physical health than being homeless in " OUR democracy " for any length of time. The homeless crisis alone is on collision course with landlord-capitalist PRIVATE PROPERTY rights. Many organized religions like the Catholic Church daily offer a helping hand to the poor . How many inner city homeless shelters and food banks are run by the New Atheist Cult ? CAPITALISM without any religion within it would be truly satanic horrible ! Is it even smart to try to convince desperate , destitute poor people that even MURDER is not a sin ? I think the Russian writer Dostoevsky was right about the human need for GOD .
