Inspired from youth by Albert Camus' sense of the Absurd, I try to be a voice for REASON in the growing darkness and moral insanity of global capitalism .

How true what Karl Marx said years ago : " The ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class "
As a longtime independent democratic socialist I know how true what Karl Marx said many years ago ( circa 1848 ) : " The ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class " . No surprise that one more billionaire owned newspaper is openly instructed on the corporate party line : sound more like AMERICA " ! In other words, sound more like the authentic voice of the American ruling capitalist class free from from " liberal " obfuscation and " free speech " nonsense . Consult that venerable " SOCIAL REGISTER " for WHO's WHO opinions to be respected .
Still the mainstream news media in " OUR democracy " must retain its FAITH in the BIG LIE - another one of which can ease the way for American imperialism to initiate another stupid, endless war in collusion with its forever partner in crimes against humanity Zionist APARTHEID Israel . Target first POST-COMMUNIST RUSSIA whose Putin led oligarchy does not rise to the high moral standards of OUR plutocracy , to Herr Trump and his Brain Trust .
In sounding like " America " again will the mainstream news media revive the stale Wilsonian blather of the Great War of 1914 - the one to make the world safe for democracy ? But that was clearly FALSE more than a century ago !
With the FASCIST -ZIONIST Trump regime still in its heady days , " OUR democracy " still has much to recommend itself as recognized leader of the " Free World ".
Wisdom from the " Tumultuous Sixties " : " What if THEY start a war and nobody shows up ? "
NOTE : Do not expect any LETTERS TO THE EDITOR like the above to ever get published - or even acknowledged- by our oh-so-FREE SPEECH RESPECTING PRESS . My own experience is that even this comment will be quickly REMOVED . But I share it on my blog and FACEBOOK page .

[Bezos: "I am of America and for America, and proud to be so. Our country did not get here by being typical. And a big part of America’s success has been freedom in the economic realm and everywhere else. Freedom is ethical — it minimizes coercion — and practical — it drives creativity, invention, and prosperity."
Freedom minimises coercion, he solemnly declares, in a statement by a plutocrat ordering his newspaper to stop publishing opinions he doesn’t agree with. Come on, that is genuinely funny. It’s funny, too, because he declares that he’s “confident that free markets and personal liberties are right for America.” Personal liberties, right for America, but not right for the editors of the Washington Post opinion section!
