As a long time independent democratic socialist ( and a pre-Vatican II dinosaur type Roman Catholic I have only a sardonic grin for this social media fusillade of LOGIC and SCIENCE directed against RELIGION in general, against ALL the world's great religions . ALL that essential cerebral energy misplaced ! Do our born again New Atheist fanatics ever give a thought to applying LOGIC and REASON ( even a dose of humanity ) to the EVIL of Capitalism, American imperialism , and Israeli Zionism ? This SICK capitalist American society , now governed by the FASCIST-ZIONIST regime of Donald Trump and Stephen Miller , makes Catholic theology seem on the same intellectual level as British philosopher Bertrand Russell's " Principia Mathematica ". But our New Atheist fanatics would rather pick on the " charlatan " ( ??? ) Christ of the New Testament and his " hateful " " Sermon on the Mount ". Well HE did die for YOUR sins !
