Growing up in the 1950s I remember those iconic radio-tv vacuum tubes and the eerie sensuous experience of them. Playing around with these mesmerizing tubes as a kid, my brother Ray became a licensed electrician and was employed for 20 years as the chief radio technician for the Warwick Police Dept. His boss was John Coucher. Sister Adrienne and I plan to visit his gravesite in Pawtucket next week.In the beginning Ray may have been intimidated by the mathematics of Ohm's law but that was no block to his practical intelligence.
