In American public schools the taught ideology ( as Marx understood it , the ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class ) is very decidedly WOKE secular, even hostile to religion. So RELIGION teaches school kids to believe in the mythology of American imperialism , Israeli Zionism , and " free market " capitalism ? . As a longtime independent democratic socialist and a quasi pre-Vatican II Catholic I do ask myself this question . Mostly RELIGION just teaches this : ! . WHO MADE ME ? Answer : ' GOD MADE ME " .
