Was offered a ticket to go for free that nite. I was tired from working overtime. Another friend took the ticket. Neither made it out. They had to be identified by dental records. Still hits me in the gut. 2023 now. @badgerbadger-badger-Poppy 1 year ago (edited) It blows my mind how more than one person thought that pyrotechnics in such an enclosed space would be a good idea. I'm so sorry for all the people who lost their lives that night. @YourPalJamieEllis 1 year ago I always come back to this cameraperson. They were DEEP in the club but started walking out early, pretty much the moment they noticed the fire, and just barely beat the head of the crowd crush to the door. If they'd spent even ten additional seconds making that decision to move toward the exit, they would have died, and this video with them. It's unreal to think about. @Lousasshol 1 year ago Crazy to hear about the guy that got trapped on bottom with layers of people on top of him , he was literally saved while the people on top took the heat and cooked .. he said the screams went from intense agony to dwindling silence @oscarpedroso9958 2 years ago I watched this video a couple of years ago and it occasionally crosses my mind when I'm in heavily populated spaces. I always look for exits and remind others to do the same. Tonight marks 20 years since this terrible tragedy....remembering those that were lost even though I didn't know you. RIP
