We need more happy and contented medical doctors than we need more nuclear submarines from Electric Boat

The PROBLEM is that we never did get from those oh-so progressive Democrats anything resembling a real national health care plan. NOT FOR PROFIT medicine will guarantee that millions urgently in need of competent physicians and dentists -especially these precious children - will not " fall through the cracks ". We should make medical school FREE for any young student intelligent enough to understand basic high school biology , chemistry , and physics , curious about the wonders of the human body , and with the humane instinct to HELP people. Make medical school FREE for these special kids - from whatever social stratum - who early in life just want to be doctors : " Calling Dr. Kildare , calling Dr. Ben Casey , calling Dr. Marcus Wellby ! " No physician should feel free to turn away any Medicaid or Medicare patients . But the states of the United States should have standardized funding for ALL health care treatments and services. No reason , for example , for a beloved pediatrician to leave Rhode Island for Mass. All money spent on the stupid , insane American military machine is better spent on socially useful SERVICE .
