What is behind all this CENSORSHIP in " OUR democracy " ? Why do seemingly EDUCATED people hate and fear some ideas and opinions ? Well, Karl Marx years ago made a very pithy observation : THE RULING IDEAS ARE THE IDEAS OF THE RULING CLASS.
The TWO PARTY SYSTEM in the USA is controlled by the capitalist ruling class , by the American plutocracy. They control the mainstream news media and much social media . People whose very WAY OF LIFE depends on FOR PROFIT exploitation and oppression of the working class -middle class majority are -with few exceptions - violently hostile - almost to the point of mental illness - to the very idea of SOCIALISM, to sound intellectual criticism of capitalism , to any ACTIONS against their system -like those of ORGANIZED LABOR. Both THE POLICE and PUBLIC EDUCATION are designed to make their CLASS interests legitimate and to sound legitimate to minds not yet liberated by a scientific view - which does not exclude a religious view - of human society today and of the long history of civilization. The " long view of history " supports the SOCIALIST VISION of a saner , more rational , kinder world.
That is what 's behind my numerous REMOVED comments ( all of which appear in " Radical Ron's Blog Spot ) and never published lately letters-to the editor ( I have had hundreds published in the past ) . The capitalist ruling class in the USA is losing its mind. And would block out the light from more SANE minds . One of my favorite books by socialist humanist writer Erich Fromm is titled " The Sane Society ".
