FREEDOM for black slaves at last ? The FREED slave had to join the ranks of " free labor " to survive, So many WOKE Democrats eager to denounce slavery and racism every minute of the day seem to forget what Karl Marx wrote about WAGE SLAVERY in the middle of the 19th century ; what Engels wrote about " The Condition of the Working Class in England ". No sooner than he or she was FREE the freed black slave was welcomed by the Northern capitalist into the wretched world of capitalist WAGE SLAVERY , of CAPITALIST exploitation and oppression. Welcome to the world since 1865 , welcome to the prolonged GILDED AGE where the people who do nothing but " manage " their wealth own just about everything and the people who do all the real work own just about nothing .I have never met any serious social philosopher who dismissed Karl Marx's labor theory as pernicious nonsense. Way back in 1965 Black Muslim leader Malcolm X made a connection between racism and capitalism, between racism and imperialism. My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a blood sucker ". And that means BLACK capitalists too ! Karl Marx also wrote that " the ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class ". Our educational system teaches implicitly that CAPITALISM IS GOOD AND CAPITALISM IS FOREVER. It mass produces professional enemies of the working class ,especially in its Ivy League elite universities. And so most college graduates have dulled critical thinking skills on the foundation of the social system they must live in.
