So our 15 year occupation of Afghanistan has made life safer here for American citizens - even the gay nightclub crowd in Orlando ?
The so called " war on terrorism " is just an endless failure . Is not U.S. imperialism also a " pernicious ideology " ? We need to think outside the box of " militarism " , of the New Colonialism .
The war has been mostly ignored as a topic for debate among the presidential candidates. Our Rhode Island former governor Lincoln Chafee, who dropped out early , was very much focused on our disastrous wars in the Middle East ...and ridiculed - for his " pacifism " .

In no way do working class Americans benefit from our criminal war in Afghanistan.
