A good read essay : Gore Vidal's " Sex Is Politics "

I just read a fascinating and enlightening essay by Gore Vidal titled " Sex is Politics " in which he comments with great wit on the Old Testament basis for condemning homosexuality : the book of Leviticus. Vidal was openly gay.

    So there must be some other basis for active hatred for homosexuals apart from holy scriptures.

Trump's followers like Nazi Brown Shirts ?

• Trump's followers are being smeared as just " angry white males ". They are mostly disoriented -and betrayed- working class people. I am pleased that they will never vote for Harpy Hillary. As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was a voice for sanity ?

For me-a democratic socialist- the madness of the Republican Party translates into zero support for neo-con Hillary Clinton. The American ruling class -in control of both parties- is the major threat to humanity . Don't expect too many Bernie Sanders supporters to embrace the New Republicans of the Democratic Party . The Soviet Union collapsed in the early 90s , but communism and socialism are still embraced by millions of educated, intelligent people around the world.
Should Christians and Jews be interrogated on how seriously they take the holy text of the New and Old Testaments ? Recall the " moral " basis of the Salem Witchcraft Trials: " Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live ".
A basic thesis of historical materialism is that social being determines social consciousness. So if you want to change the thinking of people, you would be wise to first investigate the conditions of their life.
