In my lifetime as an independent democratic socialist I have seen no social evil get resolved.I think the world has been in a period of black reaction since the end of the Vietnam War or perhaps the beginning of the Reagan Era. And the collapse of the " communism" in the old Soviet Union.Nowhere have the" workers of the world" had a major victory.Nowhere have any self appointed Marxist vanguard parties experienced exponential growth.So much ideological and cultural stagnation.Conditions now too rotten for world revolution ?Were the Tumultuous Sixties just a spectacular failure on all fronts?Just Orwellian " 1984" forever?And linked with the decay of Science and a sense of Lovecraftian " cosmic horror".The enduring theme of Camus' " Absurd"!
