If being HOMELESS were simply outlawed the Rhode Island homeless people could quickly find food and shelter at the ACI !

This is the best that our bureaucrat officials can do for a very underestimated number of Rhode Island homeless people ? The real obstacle to housing the homeless - not just making them less embarrassingly VISIBLE - is sacrosanct capitalist-landlord PRIVATE PROPERTY rights. A democratic socialist government in the United States would quickly revise property rights in the interests of the greater community. If they try to camp out in well hidden woods, they quickly discover that it is all PRIVATE PROPERTY. But they are no more " secure " on STATE owned property ! They were recently evicted from the State House " tent village ". And now they must leave the Cranston St. Armory. If being HOMELESS were simply outlawed , they could quickly find food and shelter at the ACI ( Adult Correctional Institution ) . Is POVERTY " corrected " at the ACI ? Baby boomer readers might recall a famous O'Henry short story : " The Cop and the Anthem ". Homeless " Soapy " finally gets arrested just when he resolved to reform himself .
