2016 Bernie Sanders supporter will vote for Trump in 2020 ?

  I was not surprised this morning ( Aug.31 ) when a man calling local talk radio ( 630WPRO )  identified himself as a 2016 Bernie Sanders supporter who will vote for Trump this time .   As a long time democratic socialist myself I can see how the Democratic Party is displaying more FASCIST or STALINIST tendencies than President Trump and the Republicans .  For Joe Biden to blame Trump for violence in the streets of the USA is really a BIG LIE worthy of the infamous Moscow Trials of the 1930s.

               Completely forgetting elementary CLASS consciousness, the Democratic Party -for decades now - has been promoting truly hateful identity politics and daffy political correctness. It has been promoting the HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism in the tone of Cold War era  John Birch Society right wing extremists.

                 I will not vote for Trump but I will certainly not vote for that pillar of the ONE PERCENT Establishment " Sleepy Joe " Biden.

       WE THE PEOPLE need an anti-capitalist ( not Stalinist )  American Labor Party . But the foundation of such a party can only be a revived labor movement, the ORGANIZED working class -not crazed mobs rioting in the street. That will take some time.

           The real democratic Left respects the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Christian Civilization ( If you think that sounds daffy, read British socialist philosopher Bertrand Russell's " Wisdom of the West ".

            So " Trump runs for Fuhrer ?  That is the November 28 headline in  the  sectarian " Trotskyist "  World Socialist Web Site .  These people,  who routinely  brand principled democratic socialist opponents on the Left  also" fascists ", are quite muddle- headed in identifying President Trump with fascism .  This democratic socialist - also branded a " Catholic , fascist, anti-Semite " by the WSWS- sees budding fascism in the  scary , lock step GROUP THINK of the Democratic Party , in the  Stalinist thuggery of  Anti-Fa  and " Black Lives Matter " groups shaming decent people as " racists "  and daily attacking the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization.    George Orwell could see the seeds of totalitarianism in many fanatical " Marxist " parties.

                The mainstream news media - dominated by belligerent Zionists - suddenly discovered   Hollywood liberal Donald Trump as a white supremacist, anti-Semite ( what sense does that make considering Trump's own family and his popularity in Israel ? ) ,  homophobe and feminist foe on the day after he shocked the nation by defeating " Corrupt Hillary " in the 2016 presidential election.

                    To be sure , nothing is more FASCIST than the BIG LIE .  Smearing Trump as an agent of Russia was also a BIG LIE.

          The Democratic Party - not Trump - for four long years -has been promoting the HATE RUSSIA, New McCarthyism.  The Democratic Party has been slobbering over the capitalist imperialist DEEP STATE , the FBI , the CIA. Even planning  a " Seven Days in May " drama .

     

Dump the TWO PARTY SYSTEM !

     Cannot the mainstream news media perceive the coming catastrophe of the TWO PARTY SYSTEM in the United States ?  The main theme of the 2016 presidential election was  a " mad as hell and can't take it anymore " rage at the MACHINE , at the establishment in which the plutocracy , the ONE PERCENT,effectively controls both major political parties , the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.

           Indeed Election 2020 may bring on a status quo shattering  constitutional crisis.    The REAL division of American capitalist society  is along economic CLASS lines.

                 Oddly enough  Republicans see the specter of " socialism " in the Democratic Party - a party that has just nominated a pillar of the ESTABLISHMENT Joe Biden.  On tell tale  ( for democratic socialists ) foreign policy the voice of the Democratic Party sounds eerily like the right wing voice of the John Birch Society in the Cold War days. It promotes the HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism , promotes false war mongering patriotism while President Trump and the Republicans promote a new " Yellow Peril ".  Nuclear war will be harder to " manage " than the Corona Virus pandemic!

                The TWO PARTY SYSTEM just now cannot contain or mediate the CLASS conflicts in the United States. Nor the racial , ethnic and " culture war " conflicts.

               WE THE PEOPLE desperately need a major anti-capitalist labor party in the United States .  Perhaps an institutionalized THREE PARTY SYSTEM can prevent bloody chaos or  right wing AND left wing forms of totalitarianism.

                  To be sure , some  American Hitler or American Stalin is waiting in the wings .  By the end of the fall we could look like Cairo, Egypt in 2011.

  Can any politically literate democratic socialist anywhere on the planet take Democrat Bernie Sanders seriously as a leader of some SOCIALIST movement  ?  Yesterday at the surreal Democratic National Convention Sanders said that the future of " OUR democracy " and the future of " OUR economy " was at stake in the 2020 election .

                 A  Lenin or a Trotsky - Karl Marx and Engels themselves - could only speak scathingly of BOURGEOIS democracy and CAPITALIST economy as it has existed since the Industrial Revolution.

                      Even American socialist Eugene V. Debs ridiculed our plutocracy controlled TWO PARTY SYSTEM more than a century ago . Read his  " Canton Speech " where he condemned both the First World War and Democratic Party of Woodrow Wilson .

        " Black Lives Matter " activists have much to learn from old socialist classics : " The Communist Manifesto " , " The State and Revolution " ( Lenin ) , " The Origin of the Family , Private Property and the State "( Engels ).  They should read or re-read " The Autobiography of Malcolm X ".

              How can they possibly end racism within the economic structure of capitalism ?   Both  Black Muslim Malcolm X and civil rights leader Martin Luther King made a connection between racism and capitalism , between racism and American imperialism . No surprise that they were both assassinated.

        My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a blood sucker "  .

      For more than four years the Democratic Party - a disgrace for any principled SOCIALIST- has promoted the HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism ( while Trump and the Republicans promote a new " Yellow Peril ").

      Recall Malcolm X 's friend ( then Cassius Clay ) said back in 1965 opposing the military draft and the criminal Vietnam War : " No Vietcong ever called me [ N-Word ] .

            Learning a little history will much enlighten rather muddle -headed  " Black Lives Matter " activists today .   What is still very progressive in the USA are public libraries. READ !

 

  

Must reading for " Black Lives Matter " activists

       The young black activists who  are a collective voice for the " Black Lives Matter " movement lack the political sophistication and political literacy of the older generation of  50s-60s black civil rights activists. 

  If they just studied the speeches of Malcolm X , read his  " Autobiography " , they will see with what cynicism Malcolm X regarded our still decrepit TWO PARTY SYSTEM . Malcolm X had no use for " liberal " Democrats .  He made a connection between racism and capitalism, between racism and American imperialism .

 My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a bloodsucker ". And his close friend back then, the  champion  Black Muslim boxer" Cassius Clay " said ,opposing the criminal Vietnam War and the draft : " No Vietcong ever called me [ N-word ] " 

                The " Black Lives Matter " activists - white and black - would find  Marx's " Communist Manifesto " and Vladimir Lenin's " State and Revolution " very instructive : police brutality  is institutionalized in the capitalist STATE . 

  The plutocracy controls the TWO PARTY SYSTEM.  The Democrats and Republicans support capitalism and militarism.   Striking white workers are just as readily gunned down as " disorderly " blacks. The American prison system, the " American Gulag ", is a nightmare for prisoners of all races and ethnic groups

    And the FBI is implicated in the assassination of both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King ( who in 1968 was leaning toward socialism , supporting striking garbage workers,  and opposing the Vietnam War ) .

              But the Democrats are more phony !   Without a viable anti-capitalist third party in the USA it is wiser  for working class Americans in the 2020 election to stay home   and NOT vote !

                        Find ONE " far-Left " Democrat who will boldly declare : " I 'm for SOCIALISM ".

                  To be sure , the ABCs of Marxism are best explained by those classics : " The Communist Manifesto " and Vladimir Lenin's " State and Revolution " . They should be must reading for passionate but rather muddled " Black Lives Matter " activists. The root of racial oppression is CLASS oppression .

Lynch mob hysteria against elderly Barrington man, Richard Gordon ?

Why the suddenly jobless can't see a human being

              According to Lenin's theory of THE CAPITALIST STATE ( read his " State and Revolution "  ) it is essentially a body of armed thugs devoted to defending sacrosanct PRIVATE PROPERTY rights. The so called WELFARE STATE often effectively hides this  function: the repression of the working class in the interest of the plutocracy.

                    Behind " Black Lives Matter " protests is this more general truth : police brutality is inherent in the capitalist system itself.  Even petty violation of property rights can get ANY petty criminal an instant death sentence. CLASS trumps RACE every time .

                For the same reason jobless workers must wait so patiently for relief money - so that their families might not starve. For the  state bureaucrats it is more important to catch one low life cheater and  let      1000 applicants for FOOD money  go desperate . The capitalist ruling class puts the states on rations .  They never even think of cutting the military budget or really underfunding the police forces especially in the big cities like Chicago , New York , Boston.

          Socialist writer Jack London gets the picture right in his novels " The Iron Heel " and " The People of the Abyss ".

             Only philistine ambition  will inspire the educated class to stick with the " liberal " Democrats .  " Sleepy Joe " Biden is called upon to save the TWO PARTY SYSTEM and the " American Way of Life " - now hopelessly Gone With The Wind .

Does coming collapse of American middle class prove Karl Marx was right ?

             In the middle sixties the American ruling class was confident and secure enough to let public high students learn -with a minimum of distortion- the ABCs of Marxism . I recall reading a rather long introduction of the Communist Manifesto which explained that the great, happy, SOLID American middle class was a bulwark against any Bolshevik revolution happening  here. But Marx also said that under capitalism " everything solid melts into air ".

     This coming  2020 election will see " OUR democracy ", based on a corrupt TWO PARTY SYSTEM, collapse with a stench. The Corona Virus  pandemic national emergency has exposed ALL the rottenness of capitalism ( and American imperialism ).    Everywhere there is heartless price gouging ( yes, WE are all in this together! ) .                    What will this corrupt news media proclaimed OPPORTUNITY look like when 35 million MIDDLE CLASS Americans fear eviction - fear being thrown into the streets by capitalist PRIVATE PROPERTY rights ?  The Land of the Homeless !

                     Democratic socialism has no voice in the Democratic Party -a pillar of capitalism and militarism just like the Republican Party.
