To be sure , there are no Platonic Dialogues on college campuses today . You are branded either one of the HATERS or one of the COMMUNISTS ! Oddly enough here : the obnoxious teacher was more politically correct than the naive student who had an OFFICER FRIENDLY image of often brutal police .The teacher could have politely suggested to the student : You might find insightful V.I. Lenin's pamphlet " State and Revolution " -a Marxist answer to the question : " What are the police all about in capitalist society ? " This is not the same as vilifying or de-humanizing the police .
