Put a smiling face on " OUR democracy " ? UPDATE

[Cranston Registrar Nick Lima told me:  "If Mr. Ruggieri had accepted the offer of the poll workers to vote a provisional ballot, it is likely it would have been reviewed and adjudicated with our other provisional ballots, and counted based on whether his signature matched his voter record." ]

I left in too  indignant a hurry to consider-or recall- any offer of a provisional ballot . The simple TRUTH : I was treated rudely . I suspect that the party hacks wanted a low turn out to protect the incumbents. They also want a mail ballot majority on Election Day. Daffy Trump is not always wrong !

UPDATE : I just received the expected  mail from the  Elections Division of the Rhode Island Department of State ( Nellie M. Gorbea , Secretary of State ).
Your politics writer Kathy Gregg might recall the ugly incident of September 8 at a Cranston polling place where I was effectively turned away before any of the hacks ( any Republicans there around 11:30 AM  ?) who witnessed  a local senior citizen -a long time resident of Knighsville, Cranston ( Randal Manor ) - not getting any warm welcome - by DEMOCRATS ! - at the polling place across from Shore's Market on Atwood Ave.  .
Come Election Day why don't they warn waiting-in-line voters- with a visible SIGN - that they will be offered a provisional ballot if they lack the " proper " IDs  ?    Put a smiling face on " OUR Democracy ".
The back of Gorbea's letter reads : " Help us to keep RI voter rolls clean. If this envelope is addressed to someone who no longer lives at this address , please mark " return to sender " and return to your postal worker or deposit it in the mail box  ".

True to my birth certificate, the  Department of State letter is addressed to ME :  Still not adequate ID at in person polling place ?
