Back in 2015 I was sufficiently alienated from the Democratic Party to the see pitfalls for " socialist " Bernie Sanders losing his professed " independence " and colluding with this ruling class controlled party .
Today in 2020 there is no way a Democrat presidential candidate can rise above the National Security State cesspool that was once the party of FDR and JFK . More than a generation ago neo-liberalism - increasingly obsessed with vicious " identity politics " and vacuous " political correctness " - openly hostile to Christianity and to the Free Speech , Free Thought tradition of Western Civilization- conquered the soul of the Democratic Party .
Since the shock of Republican Donald Trump 's 2016 election as president of the United States the Democrats have promoted the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism. Indeed the Kafkaesque Trump impeachment hearings reminded me of the notorious Moscow Trials of the 1930s .
Suddenly the Zionist Jew controlled mainstream news media is red-baiting " democratic socialist " Bernie Sanders ( himself a pro-Israel Jew ) as a Russian oriented " commie " while at the same time weirdly smearing plutocrat Trump as a tool of Czar Putin in the Kremlin. The New McCarthyism coming back with a vengeance !
The FAKE NEWS media seems to forget that Russia is now a post-communist nation. And to be sure " Our democracy " cannot improve on it in any way .
If Bernie Sanders has any moral and intellectual integrity left as a " democratic socialist ", he will break with the ruling class Democratic Party - whose inner core reject and anathematize the very idea of SOCIALISM in the USA . To be sure , once again they will sabotage Bernie's " political revolution " ( and with a MASS MOVEMENT behind it ) .
The " socialist " Sanders should call for a truly independent party in the USA , somewhat similar to the British Labor Party with deep roots in the country's working class.
We need to institutionalize a THREE PARTY SYSTEM in the USA . The Republican party for THE RICH, the Democratic Party for THE MIDDLE CLASS , the American Labor Party for THE WORKING CLASS. This could be more effective than the chaos of violent revolution( always possible, recall the Great French Revolution of 1789 , the Russian Revolution of 1917, the Chinese Revolution of 1949 , the Cuban Revolution of 1959 , and , of course , the American Revolution of 1776 ) .
For millions of thinking and feeling ( feeling ANGRY as Bernie 's face looks ) working class Americans there is nothing " freak show " about the SOCIALIST vision for a SANE SOCIETY . This capitalist America could not survive a month without LIES, FAKE NEWS , and police brutality .
Naturally the ruling capitalist class thinks that a world in which they are happy , secure, and privileged - and they no longer THANK GOD for this - is the best of all possible worlds .
THEIR educational system almost makes it impossible for intelligent , idealistic young people even to imagine a better world. Our New Atheist plutocrats think capitalism is divine; there is no God , you see, but THEY are HIS chosen people !
