Why the ruling class hates and fears SOCIALIST ideas

Karl Marx said a long time ago that the ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class. But Marx knew that materialist " dialectics " would have the last word. One " all -powerful " state after another finally succumbed to popular revolt going back to the glory days of Athenian " democracy ".

The ruling classes of the globe hate and fear SOCIALIST ideas- the ideas expressed at this World Socialist Web Site - and other web sites- because they have no rational defense against them , against the clear headed, pure hearted criticism of capitalism.

The right wing radio talk host bullies have this " refutation " of honest socialists and liberal reformists with some integrity : they STOP the discussion by hanging up on the " far left " ( a Bernie Sanders " maniac " ? ) caller.

Red Eye Radio easily refutes the Marxist labor theory of value: A commercial for a brand of engine oil says that it " works as hard as you do " !

[  " Shell Rotella, it works as hard as you do " ]

In his day the great philosopher Plato ( great in his own way ) was able to smother the " absurd " ATOMISM of Democritus .

There was only one very SUBVERSIVE difficulty : atoms exist , atoms are real .
The same for Copernicus and the literal interpretation of the Bible: The earth is NOT the center of the universe. The same for the great REVOLUTIONARY scientist Galileo : " Still , it moves ", the old man whispers during the Inquisition.

Today SOCIALISTS are the best and brightest people around. THEIR ideas will win the day. And very few honest socialists have disappointed me- wherever their perch.
Leon Trotsky's " faith in the future " was rooted in the fact of inevitable progressive CHANGE . Even the dinosaurs -masters of life on earth for so very long - had to disappear . No more " terrible lizards " to dominate the rest of us.

The same for Donald Trump REX and the whole rotten plutocracy.

T-REX is no more after a long, long reign
