Cruel embargo of Cuba - give us socialists Fidel and " Che " any day !

After The Castros, Can Cuba Finally Move On?

The cruel and decades long embargo against Cuba has nothing to do with flaws in its " socialism ". The American ruling class - so tolerant of right wing dictatorships all around the world- wants to quarantine the very idea of SOCIALISM wherever it succeeds in becoming a mass movement.

They never had a problem with the fascist Pinochet in Chile. They did not like the Marxist president of Chile Salvador Allende. So they murdered him ( " democracy " American style in Latin America ) .

History proves that it is capitalism and entrenched PRIVATE PROPERTY-not working class based SOCIALISM- that is inherently undemocratic .

Socialist " democracy " fails only when it is surrounded by still powerful capitalists colluding with international imperialist intrigue. And led by petty-bourgeois traitors to REVOLUTION.

If Castro 's Cuba was as oppressive and dysfunctional as New York Times pseudo-liberals described it - SMEARED it - it would have imploded soon after the Bay of Pigs fiasco or the Cuban missile crisis.

In no way did Castro model himself after Lenin . But he deserved critical support after overthrowing the rotten Batista regime in 1959 -which was backed by the U.S, imperialism.

There is a famous scene in Godfather II where Michael Corleone witnesses an incident of revolutionary violence while in Cuba. The new Don had no doubts then that Castro and his band of revolutionaries would win .

Soon they entered triumphant into Havana. The rest is history.

Not for nothing Castro and " Che " inspired thousands of young 60s radicals in the USA. Just recently the Cuban health system was considered a model for the rest of the world.

Would the " liberal " Democrats like to see a return of Batista corruption and decadence in Cuba ? Give us socialists Che Guevara any day !
