The ordinary people constituting " Western Civilization " are in a very anti-establishment mood.
They seem to be fed up with " global capitalism " controlled by international bankers and faceless, stateless bureaucrats. I doubt if this is good news for the Hillary campaign but will probably not revive the floundering presidential campaign of the erratic, far right Donald Trump.
Democratic socialists around the world reject reactionary " nationalism ". But it is not clear if this vote of the British to exit the European Union had much to do with all those politically incorrect " haters ".
A little more than a 100 years ago the " civilized " world exploded in the Great War -to the cheering in the USA in 1917 of Wilsonian blather. False phrases about " freedom" and moribund " democracy " still serve ruling class interests.
