Medical doctors are always thinking about the " business " of medicine

Today's medical doctors hardly think about anything else but the BUSINESS of medicine. A 67 year old friend of mine with acute pains in his leg visited one of those WALK IN treatment centers on Reservoir Ave. in Cranston. Not having a credit card ready, this senior citizen on Medicare and Medicaid was quickly told that the doctor will NOT see him. He went to a hospital emergency room yesterday.
A real national health care system -where health care is seen as a basic human right-would make it illegal for any licensed medical doctor or dentist to refuse to see any Medicare or Medicaid patients.
