Lincoln Chafee still made sense in national debate on U.S. foreign policy- his anti-war stand

As a registered Democrat in Rhode Island listening to local radio news commentary on the debate last night I fail to see how Lincoln Chafee " made a fool of himself " or " embarrassed his state ". For the time he was given he made great sense on serious issues. The invasion and occupation of Iraq was the " greatest foreign policy blunder of all time ". It completely destabilized the Middle East setting it up for the ISIS nightmare.
If there is another American led ground war in Iraq, Chafee 's warning will be recalled with a little more respect. However , Lincoln Chafee was also as interesting on stage as " block of granite ".
Sanders-my favorite here- is weak-kneed on foreign policy. He should have been inspired by the famous anti-war-class struggle Canton Speech of Eugene V. Debs. Debs was protesting the Great War - the war to make the world safe for democracy ".
I have an Edward Snowden perspective on Harpy Hillary's email scandal. State secrets are nothing less than an elitist conspiracy behind the backs of the American people. We need a more open democratic foreign policy. Shadowy CIA intrigue gave us the Iran- Contra scandal-and a hundred other sordid misadventures.
I credit Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont with making " socialism " a more respectable word in America's cramped soul two party system.
Capitalism " works " but for whom - the ONE PERCENT ? Democratic socialism did not die with the collapse of the Stalinist Soviet Union.
