I hope these Providence Lovecraft lectures comment on his " socialism "

Lovecraft circus back in Providence again
I have been a fan of H.P. Lovecraft for many years now since I met Lovecraft biographer, the brilliant scholar S. T. Joshi and his " Providence Pals " at at a lively apartment on Observatory Ave. I like the way Mr. Joshi defended his beloved HPL against the charge of being a crude racist. There was not a mean bone in the " I Am Providence " writer's body ( once almost stolen from Swan Point Cemetery).
I hope these upcoming Lovecraft lectures point out that Lovecraft was very much a passionate Socialist in the last year of his life ( 1937 ). If he were alive today, I am sure he would be a critical supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. In a 1936 letter Lovecraft is pleased and relieved that FDR was re-elected by a landslide,
Fans who associate H.P. Lovecraft with the occult never read his letters. He was very much a scientific materialist.. I am sure he was one of the first philosophers to see that Einstein's ENERGY theories did not mean that MATTER disappears.Only Lenin made the same point in a now very obscure book titled " Materialism and Empirio- Criticism.
My favorite Lovecraft story is " The Outsider."
S.T. Joshi's " Providence Pals " lived nearby the Ladd Observatory
