A cop becomes " an enemy of the people "

More police atrocity    In the tumultuous 1960s many young radicals-with not a little confrontation with " the system " experience - always called cops " pigs ". That was not my style but I could understand the gut feeling, the seething rage against the capitalist police state behind it.
I suspect their transient " rage " might have been inversely proportional to ideological enlightenment.
Still it is no crude truth to say that any veteran cop in America is an incurable " enemy of the people ".( Of course, my grandfather was an exception ! )
A woman divorced from her cop husband observed that he reached a state of mind where he could only socialize with cops, only " feel " for the BROTHERHOOD. The guy was not born evil. The capitalist system warped his soul.
A Eugene V. Debs could " feel " for the working class of the whole world, the universal brotherhood.
For me a dedicated socialist was always a higher form of human being- whatever his particular " party line.
