Inspired from youth by Albert Camus' sense of the Absurd, I try to be a voice for REASON in the growing darkness and moral insanity of global capitalism .

I am sharing you excellent post on my blog . [ @kimz6602 1 year ago ]
[ "Thank you Chris and Christian, for your analysis. I've been politically left all my life, from a union family and a previous member of the Communist Party, worked in many areas of social justice, and presently work in the women's movement where woke politics has shown itself in the worst and most contradictory ways. The worst things about "woke" politics (which has become widely known as the neo-liberal politics of the individual, and the 'political correctness' of those who consider themselves the elite of the political left) is that the leaders of woke social justice, including labour, have: claimed to be THE vanguard – all knowing/seeing/judging what people can think and say; have centered culture over economics; have fomented hate and intolerance by dehumanizing those who disagree; have openly suppressed curiosity and transparency, unwilling to engage in civil dialogue; and they have vilified those who question or disagree justifying efforts to destroy their life, family, jobs, reputations, and the right to freedom of expression. None of that contains anything I value, or the values that I want to see in working class leaders, leaders for change, leaders that are critical thinkers. Never mind looking to alternatives to destructive capitalism. In fact, they mimic the worst of McCarthyism. In the name of their professed vanguard role, these people have encouraged the working class to turn in on and shoot at one another while capitalism carries on destroying our planet and the lives of working people. These leaders (often paid with government funds) no longer aspire to sharp political analysis and alternative solutions to the crises of a disintegrating world, and the solidarity needed to fight for change. When corporations, political parties, social justice organizations, the labour movement, and public institutions all fly the woke flags as though they are one, where do working class people go for true leadership? THAT is the danger of woke politics. It's destroyed our humanity and the ability to create a vision for a better world. " ]
