James P. Cannon Speaks! "The New Left"
A number of James T. Farrell's short stories explained the dilemma of so many American Trotskyists after " The Revolution Betrayed ". To be sure , it takes more than compassion for the oppressed to sustain a socialist PHILOSOPHY for a lifetime. It takes a truly SCIENTIFIC outlook on both the universe and human society. Perhaps the heart of a poet but the mind of a mathematician . Clearly SWP leader James P. Cannon had the RIGHT STUFF for a lifetime of devotion to the cause of the " Socialist Future ".
