You can be sure that ordinary HUMAN compassion does not motivate the WOKE WARRIOR Democratic Party's immigration policy. But ALL these desperate humans simply can't be conspiring terrorist scoundrels. As a longtime independent democratic socialist I believe in applying the general principle of SOCIALIST INTERNATIONALISM to our chaotic , pathetic border with Mexico. There is nothing ABSOLUTE about nation state boundaries. A war with Mexico in 1848 gave us California , Texas boundaries . Abraham Lincoln protested this war for the new country's " lebensraum ". Taking the long view of history , what might happen is that the whole combined continents of North and South and Central America will have ONE united government . With English, French , Portuguese , French the predominant but not official languages. "TV " Twilight Zone " episode : " People are all alike - everywhere ! ". Some consolation !
