Is this what your senile mother or father has to look forward in our mostly FOR PROFIT health care system ? I worked at Bannister House Nursing Home in Providence ,Rhode Island ( circa 1978-1982 ) . Most of the staff had the gift of " caring " for the aged. But there must also be understanding for a stressed out , overworked , underpaid nursing staff. I learned from my four year experience as a CNA, then moved on. All nursing homes with extremely vulnerable elderly patients must be expertly supervised. And attention must be paid to the morale of staff . Try a six hour day and four shifts ?
