At a busy crosswalk I often feel like the character " Ratso Rizzo " in the movie " Midnight Cowboy : " Hey , I'm here . I'm here ! "

So many people in our SICK SOCIETY have become so pathologically "alienated " that even the heartless HIT & RUN crime is not unthinkable for them. Also so many streets in Rhode Island cities are very PEDESTRIAN UNFRIENDLY and especially dangerous at night with few cross walks and brainless city budget " saving " on adequate street lights. As a " walker in the city " I notice that even when you are at a crosswalk and get a blinking " WALK " sign a turning driver often will nearly plow right into you at the crosswalk. I feel like the character " Ratso Rizzo " in the movie : Midnight Cowboy " : " Hey , I'm here , I'm here ! "
