Around 4:00PM yesterday we lost electricity in a wide area around Knightsville, Cranston. We did not get the power back until some time past midnight in still sweltering heat. Senior citizens in public housing here were poorly served. One 90 year old woman named Rita in my Randall Manor apartment complex has recently been diagnosed with dementia. Only her son looks after her now and then. Local news and local officials should have shown a measure of concern. I got nothing on local radio.
The irresponsibility of THE SYSTEM is stunning. We are certain to get more UNEXPLAINED power outages with criminal indifference to senior citizens.
