Criminals KNOW the police better than most oblivious law abiding citizens ?

It does seem crude winking at brutal ignorance , but even democratic socialists learn to see capitalist society through the eyes of the lowest of the low criminal elements. There is much TRUTH in their perception of the police. I do believe that traditional Marxism gets this right: above all the police protect the PRIVATE PROPERTY CAPITAL of the ruling class. Even " OUR democracy, " based on the exploitation and oppression of the working class ,could not last a day without lies and brutality. MOST working class CHRISTIANS do not sink to the level of the " lumpenproletariat ". In a better kinder SOCIALIST society these outcasts will be forgiven and rehabilitated . For ALL , life in HUMAN society will cease to be a miserable INDIVIDUAL struggle for existence.
