Winter thoughts on Spring Gay Pride Parades

I wonder just how much INSIGHT into their own psychology have these perennial " openly gay " marchers in these annual gay pride parades ? When does any imagined " community " become an intellectual and spiritual ghetto ? Clearly " community spirit " feeds on paranoid feelings about obsessed HATERS out there who must have nothing better to do with their lives than harass gay people . The WOKE mainstream news media thinks that WE of the larger , broader , saner COMMUNITY are endlessly fascinated by gay people , gay marriage , gay love soap operas . Perhaps the annual gay pride parades just fit so well into " The Culture of Narcissism ". I have viewed a number of gay pride parades in downtown Providence . And one of my best friends is gay. My feeling was that it was always border line obscene ( at least a negation of any passion for gay monogamy ) . There were moments when I wanted to run into the nearby Cathedral . A scene from the movie " The Exorcist " : " The POWER OF CHRIST COMMANDS YOU ! " . NOTE : My gay friend also named Ron actually agreed with me that gay marriage was a " farce of a farce " . 100 years ago democratic socialists did not think very highly of bourgeois marriage. For centuries the much maligned Catholic Church had the right idea about keeping priests free from all that . One of my favorite gay authors is Oscar Wilde .
