One less than " revolutionary " thought on reforming public school education

One less than " revolutionary " suggestion : there are probably millions of accomplished semi-retired individuals in every profession - or skilled workers- capable and willing to teach public school kids. But they only lack the stupefying education and the gate keeper CERTIFICATE of teacher colleges. Perhaps EDUCATION should not be separate from WORK . Why not PAY students for on the job training without tracking them into one job groove ? There are more important things to teach young public schools kids than fawning or gushing admiration for various vociferous and hyper-sensitive " communities " . Identifying yourself with this or that " community " is not an accomplishment in life.
