A Marshall Plan to rescue the homeless in the USA

Nice to hear CHRISTMAS tree . But the WOKE Democrats have failed to rescue the homeless people camping on State House grounds . As a long time independent democratic socialist I have always believed that sacrosanct capitalist PRIVATE PROPERTY rights will continue to frustrate the right of homeless people not to be homeless. For a start, homelessness in the USA should be declared a NATIONAL EMERGENCY ! There should be the equivalent of a Marshall Plan to shelter , rehabilitate , RECALL TO LIFE , job train , tens of thousands of homeless people. The big mistake of the DEINSTITUTIONALIZATION of the mentally ill - going back decades as " progressive " reform -should be reconsidered. No " progressive " Democrat in Rhode Island connects this nightmare of homeless people with the irrational and very flawed capitalist economic system. They just cannot think outside the box of bourgeois politics no matter how compassionate and well intentioned. In general , there is a crisis of the TWO PARTY SYSTEM in the USA .
