The mind of the American public increasingly open to SOCIALISM

As a long time independent democratic socialist I can only view with satisfaction a public mind open to SOCIALISM as we have understood it for more than one hundred years. In fact, more than a century ago there was a vibrant , passionate SOCIALIST movement not only in Russia ( with their 1917 Bolshevik Revolution ) but also right here in the United States . A central figure in American socialism was Eugene V. Debs who was arrested for opposing the GREAT WAR - " the war to make the world safe for democracy ". Today the Democratic Party - Debs warned the American working class back then that it was completely treacherous - has been promoting the HATE RUSSIA ( now post-COMMUNIST Russia ) New McCarthyism. The whole purpose pf phony " socialists " in the Democratic Party is to lure voters away from building an independent American Labor Party - free of all ties to the capitalist ruling class. Today there is not one voice for PEACE in the Democratic Party opposing nuclear World War III and not slobbering over the NATO puppet Zelensky as another Winston Churchill. So precious is a " sovereign " ( ??? ) Ukraine ! OUR " interests " in international affairs have nothing in common with the interests of the American plutocracy. Ordinary people do not plan or start insane wars but history teaches that they do end them.
