The TWO PARTY SYSTEM just does not work to serve whatever is left of " OUR democracy ". All the candidates competing for high office are tied to Corporate America. TAXING THE RICH is hardly the program of democratic socialists. We can easily persuade the vast majority of American voters that all aspects of FOR PROFIT capitalism can only serve the ONE PERCENT , or the even less than ONE PERCENT American plutocracy. As for PRIVATE PROPERTY most of us who might finally " own " a house will lose possession of it as soon as the nursing home welcomes the new resident. Karl Marx got that right about having nothing left to lose ! Ordinary working class and middle class people do not plan wars or start wars . But HISTORY teaches that they can end them. For years now the Democratic Party has promoted the HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism. And it has scorned ( talk about " fascism " ! ) the FREE SPEECH, FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization. All the candidates here sing in tune here on the PARTY LINE . Now the WOKE party line!
