Rhode Island Democratic candidates for Congress debate. Why do scratch over " still a mostly Italo-American neighborhood ( as seen on SAINT MARY' S FEAST WEEK ) ? Prejudice ? As a longtime independent democratic socialist I see the TWO PARTY SYSTEM as being completely controlled by Corporate America. But here in Rhode Island the Democratic Party - with a false reputation of being " progressive " , " pro-labor " - operates a lot like STALINISM in the old Soviet Union - tyranny without much " socialism ". Given this deplorable situation I can at least wink at former Cranston Mayor Allan Fung. I live in Knightsville , Cranston still a mostly Italo-American neighborhood ( as seen on SAINT MARY'S FEAST WEEK ) and voted for Fung a while back on grounds profound indeed ! - that nobody in the neighborhood had a bad word for Allan. I will bet that a hearty and FREE spaghetti dinner will seal the deal for him as a Republican candidate for Congress. Allan Fung can be proud of his Chinese-American background.
