As a longtime democratic socialist I think the biggest mistake of organized labor in the United States was not listening to the great socialist leader Eugene V. Debs more than 100 years ago : Debs warned the working class that support for the Democratic Party was ultimately a dead end for it. Black Muslim leader Malcolm X made a connection between RACISM and capitalism, between RACISM and American imperialism. My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a blood sucker " . Malcolm X also warned about loyalty to the treacherous Democratic Party. What WE need today is an American Labor Party -independent of the country's ruling class plutocracy . For a long time even the legendary Ralph Nader explained how the TWO PARTY SYSTEM , in fact, suffocated " Our democracy ". An American Labor Party will be a lot like the very civilized British Labor Party but always speaking as the collective voice of the American working class of all races and ethnic groups. Even the ideals of militant feminism are hopeless within the capitalist TWO PARTY SYSTEM. Just say NO to WOKE Democrats come November !
