As a democratic socialist - aware that the Democratic Party has promoted the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism for years now - I would not list this arrogant , war mongering , ZIONIST Jew Volodymyr Zelensky as a " Hero of Democracy ". What passes for " OUR democracy " has considerably degenerated since the JFK era. I can't believe that ordinary working class Ukrainians were ever longing for a dangerous and foolish alliance with an effete , moribund , and rotting NATO . The war drums are being banged to the tune of stale Wilsonian blather , cant words and phrases , that were just as false at the beginning of the GREAT WAR in 1914 - " the war to make the world safe for democracy " - " SOVEREIGN nation " , " FREEDOM " ( whose ? )- as they are now in April 2022 . I can't believe that ordinary working class Americans - so stressed out on many fronts ( stressed by monstrous inflation )- will get all fired up over a forever SOVEREIGN Ukraine.. Wars are started by ruling class people over disputed ruling class interests. How is our plutocracy on a higher moral level than the Russian oligarchy ? In what way does POST-COMMUNIST Russia fail to live up to the lofty standards of " OUR democracy " ? They lack our wonderful TWO PARTY SYSTEM ? Could they use a Russian equivalent of Democrat Hillary Clinton ? A Russian equivalent of Republican Donald Trump ? A " socialist " like Bernie Sanders ?
