A COVID-19 ill elderly friend's nightmare experience at Beth Israel Hospital in Arlington , Mass.

Of course our stone hearted capitalist society offers little help for people who obviously need it . My 74 year old friend Dave Nelson living alone in a high rise public housing building in Arlington , Mass. is quite sick and weak with COVID-19 and barely able to walk. He says his primary care physician refuses to see him in his office. Dave says a brief stay at local Beth Israel Hospital was a nightmare experience for him . So much rudeness and incompetence from the staff - unable or unwilling to answer his questions or show any compassion for his anxiety . He checked out of the place quickly after seeing that there was just no TREATMENT for the virus. A report, which he glanced at, said he had COVID-19 pneumonia just after a doctor there said he did not have pneumonia ( Could this be blatant medical FRAUD ? , Dave wondered over the phone ) .

Dave is afraid that if other residents at Arlington Public Housing find out he has COVID-19 they will shun him just when he is so much in need of HELP. Like who will go food shopping for him ?

Calling for HELP via MEDICARE or MEDICAID was useless, Dave said. Nobody will talk to you . Or when they do they are very crabby low level bureaucrats. Last night Dave told me that he was feeling very dizzy , coughing up thick yellowish gunk, and having very bloody diarrhea.

What kind of doctors refuse to see sick patients ? What kind of hospitals refuse to TREAT them ? And Dave said he just turned the hospital staff off when he said he favored SOCIALIZED MEDICINE . There should be at least more PRO-ACTIVE social workers - who can SEE the special problems of residents - in these public housing ghettos for the elderly .

Also Dave says that numerous mice have been reported in this Arlington Public Housing building . Dave -coming from a family of doctors ( Russian Jews ) - wondered if he could also have the HANTA- VIRUS associated with dirty mice. Does ANYBODY care ?
