This book is belligerent defense of the philosophy of MATERIALISM - a philosophy going back to the famous -almost lost - poem of the Roman poet Lucretius " On the Nature of Things " . It can not be easily refuted : As Albert Einstein said : " Tell the bishop ( Fulton J.Sheen ) that I am an honest man " . Einstein , who claimed to believe in Spinoza's God, wrote an influential essay titled " Why Socialism " . Einstein wondered : " Does God play dice with the Universe ? "
